Guild Rules
|
1 Guild Conduct and General RulesGuild conduct is one of the most important qualities to a successful guild. Most of you reading this will find the points common sense. If you realise that, you're already half way there. It's important to realise that guild conduct doesn't just apply to how you portray yourself within the guild its also important outside the guild as well. General Rules are basically the few things that are expected from guild members, read below to find out what they are.
1.1 Conduct of members
| §1.1 |
Council Members decisions should be respected, they look out for the well being of the guild.
|
| §1.2 |
Treat others how you would wish to be treated - fairly & politely. Always be aware of the "Shades of Fury" tag under your name and give the guild a good image.
|
| §1.3 |
Racial or discriminatory acts towards anyone will not be tolerated. If you feel a victim to these acts, contact a Council Member.
|
| §1.4 |
Excessive swearing or other forms of hostile verbal communication will not be tolerated.
|
| §1.5 |
Respect everyones' classes. If you don't like a class then keep it to yourself or discuss with the person privately your problems. Public discussion involving why a specific class might be bad will only fuel argument and upset people.
|
| §1.6 |
Help one another; try to help guild members lower than you. Everyone remembers their first day and first experiences. Let's help the lower level members settle in.
|
| §1.7 |
Scamming and ninja-looting will not be tolerated.
|
1.2 General Rules
| §1.8 |
Cheating/Hack exploits of any manner or form will not be tolerated.
|
| §1.9 |
Guild Members are expected to try to participate in guild activities including Raids, Instances and PvP.
|
| §1.10 |
Everyone should keep regular checks with the forums for events. If you sign up for an event, members are expected to attend.
|
| §1.11 |
Guild members are encouraged to group with Guild members, not only is it good experience, but it allows people to get to know each other.
|
| §1.12 |
Finally look after each other, if you can provide assistance, armour and weapons to lower level characters then do so. It will make the guild stronger and also gain you respect and friendships. Whilst no-one should expect to receive items for free, charging guildies for crafts or enchants with their mats is frowned upon.
|
| §1.13 |
Applying to other guilds is not tolerated. It's regarded as disloyal behaviour, and members should expect a guild kick as soon as this happens.
| | §1.14 |
If you leave Shades for some reason, it's decision of lifetime. Do not expect an invitation back at a later date. If you are one of the few people that have received a gkick at any time, don't even think of applying.
|
1.3 Guild Ranks
| §1.15 |
All councils are equal. Shades doesn't have one guild master. It has 6 guild masters. All decisions of the guild are made by officers/councils group.
Respect those decisions.
|
| §1.16 |
Class masters handle their members. They should always be aware of how many active members your class have and do we have to invite more. They are also aware of their members' talents and skills.
|
| §1.17 |
Warchiefs help councils and class masters whenever needed.
|
| §1.18 |
Raiders are members who have made the effort and committment to shades 25 man raiding.
Any member may apply to be a raider, but it is the decision of the class master who holds the rank, and members can be promoted or demoted at any time. Any raider who can no longer put in time or needs a break can ask to be Legionnaire. Raider have priority on loot in "current" 25 man instances.
|
| §1.19 |
Legionnaire is a soldier of the Shades. Legionnaire has access to loots and is trusted member of Shades.
|
| §1.20 |
Peon is for our new members on trial for raiding. Whilst on trial peons do not have a right to loot & have no priority for it. At the discretion of the Raid Leader items may be looted to them, but only if no other member is interested in the item, and it would otherwise be disenchanted.
|
2 Looting RulesFirst and foremost, everyone wants loot; if people don't want loot then the fun from doing raids would die out. It's natural to want loot and we have no problem with that. What we do want to emphasise is that you, the member reading this, are one of many guild members all in the same situation. Therefore the first step to gaining friends, gaining respect and appreciation from your guild members is to show you're not selfish and help one another out.
These rules will be an outline guide which should be carried out in all serious raids of the guild. This guide is not for 5 man groups of the guild. The rules of those depends on realm's common rules.
2.1 General looting rules
| §2.1 |
Master looter is always used when raiding any high level instance.
|
| §2.2 |
Raid leaders and officers make the final decisions about loots.
|
| §2.3 |
Unwanted items will be disenchanted or/and sent to guild bank for future use.
Content of chests, mineral veins, herbs and leathers are sent to guild bank.
|
| §2.4 |
If items for class quests drop/or be found, those will be rolled. However items for epic quests are given by DKP-system.
|
| §2.5 |
If an item drops that you need, don't start whispering raid
leader, don't spam the raid channel & don't cheer on teamspeak.
Raid leader will check the EPGP-table and he will ask members to roll
to show interest. The highest EPGP holder will win the item.
|
| §2.6 |
Do not ask other guild members with higher EPGP to pass for you, that shows epic-hungry attitude - not welcome in Shades.
|
| §2.7 |
Loot paid for by one member with EPGP is not to be transferred to another member for gold. Such sales completely undermine the EPGP system & are bad for the guild. If we see evidence of "loot selling" Council will take action against both purchaser & vendor. Such actions may include loss of priority on loot and demotion of rank, or gkick for more than one offence.
|
2.2 Guild Bank
| §2.8 |
It holds everything from our raids, which are not needed by raid members. It's the way to share items. You can see the content of guild bank in any bank online through the armory.
|
| §2.9 |
Money of the guild bank is mainly used for items which we will need in our raids such as flasks, gems, armor patches and gearing up for new encounters.
|
| §2.10 |
If you need something from guild bank, send Aral an in game mail or message him through the website. If you see him online & slacking in city, whisper him, but not if he is elsewhere. If you get no response after a few days or its really urgent, ask another council member.
|
| §2.11 |
Do not ask for a loan from the guild bank. It is easy to raise cash doing dailies.
|
| §2.12 |
You can make donations for the guild by depositing them in bank, or mailing to Aral. Please be sensible with donations, sorting out rubbish in guildbank is not fun, it takes time that can be better spent doing other things.
|
2.3 EPGP-System
| §2.16 |
EPGP system (Effort Points, Gear Points) is used for looting epic items at Ulduar 25 & higher level instances.
|
| §2.17 |
You can get EP by being on time for the raid & killing bosses. Every boss at farming level gives known amount of 50 EP.
|
| §2.18 |
You MAY get EP from learning (read: wiping) any new boss.
|
| §2.19 |
Every time you take loot you are charged Gear Points.
|
| §2.20 |
Member with the highest ratio of Effort Points / Gear Points wins the item.
|
3.3 Raiding
| §3.1 |
Listen raid leader carefully. Do what he says.
|
| §3.2 |
You can go to bathroom or get a drink as long as u say in raid chat. AFKing 20 minutes is not tolerated.
|
| §3.3 |
Proceed carefully and follow others. Soloing usually makes bad pulls and wipes the raid.
|
| §3.4 |
If you are killing boss first time, don't be afraid to ask instructions - we prefer that to wiping us through misunderstanding.
|
3.4 Addons
| §3.5 |
Every raiding member must have an up to date version of Deadly Boss Mods. It helps with different bosses by giving automatic messages about bosses' behaviour.
|
| §3.6 |
All raid members need to have Teamspeak2-client installed and have joined to our server (ts.shades-guild.net) before raiding. No exceptions.
|
Obeying the rules will give nice home for any member of Shades. Any behaviour against the rules will be investigated and councils will act as a jury.
